“Fools”
Fool: n. [Heb.]
1. One who is destitute of reason, or the common powers of understanding; an idiot. Some persons are born fools, and are called natural fools; others may become fools by some injury done to the brain.
2. In common language, a person who is somewhat deficient in intellect, but not an idiot; or a person who acts absurdly; one who does not exercise his reason; one who pursues a course contrary to the dictates of wisdom.
3. In scripture, fool is often used for a wicked or depraved person; one who acts contrary to sound wisdom in his moral deportment; one who follows his own inclinations, who prefers trifling and temporary pleasures to the service of God and eternal happiness.
The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. Psa 14.
4. A weak christian; a godly person who has much remaining sin and unbelief.
O fools, and slow of heart to believe all the prophets have written. Luke 24.
5. A term of indignity and reproach.
6. One who counterfeits folly; a buffoon; as a king's fool.
1. To play the fool, to act the buffoon; to jest; to make sport.
2. To act like one void of understanding.
To put the fool on, to impose on; to delude.
To make a fool of, to frustrate; to defeat; to disappoint.
FOOL, v.i. To trifle; to toy; to spend time in idleness, sport or mirth.
FOOL, v.t.
1. To treat with contempt; to disappoint; to defeat; to frustrate; to deceive; to impose on.
When I consider life, 'tis all a cheat; for fooled with hope, men favor the deceit.
2. To infatuate; to make foolish.
3. To cheat; as, to fool one out of his money.
1. To fool away, to spend in trifles, idleness, folly, or without advantage; as, to fool away time.
2. To spend for things of no value or use; to expend improvidently; as, to fool away money.
There are well over one hundred scriptures that address the fool, but do we really pay attention to such things? All for the ooey gooey love of God, we intentionally ignore certain truths contained within the Word of God, forsaking the rigidity and severity of God’s love! To ignore the most basic lessons God has to offer through His Word is to play the part of a fool, to act by choice, ignorantly of the teachings of God, which are perfect as God Himself is perfect!
Ignore: IGNO'RE, v.t. To be ignorant.
Ignorant
IG'NORANT, a. [L. ignorans.] Destitute of knowledge; uninstructed or uninformed; untaught; unenlightened. A man may be ignorant of the law, or of any art or science. He may be ignorant of his own rights, or of the rights of others. Most importantly, to be ignorant is to ignore simple basic truths, even though taught correctly for one’s edification and for the treatment of others.
1. Unknown; undiscovered; a poetical use; as ignorant concealment.
2. Unacquainted with.
Ignorant of guilt, I fear not shame.
3. Unskillfully made or done. [Not legitimate.]
IG'NORANT, n. A person untaught or uninformed; one unlettered or unskilled.
Rom 1:13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
Rom 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
1Th 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
Like all true believers, who walk in the true love of the Lord, I would not have you walk in ignorance, but at the same time, none of us can make you see or hear what God has been telling the body, the church, for the longest time. So when does the church wake up, when will they arise from their slumber; Pro 24:33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
Pro 24:34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
Consider this; poverty is not always about money and finances, poverty can also refer to spiritually poor. Church, we seriously need to wake up, but not just to any old thing, we need to wake up to God’s truth, seek Him for His truth, start seeking God with our whole being, and stop walking spiritually broke in ignorance, acting the fool.
To some, this may be the perfect hate message, because I don’t speak of my truth, but of God’s truth, I cannot convince you to think differently or believe, this is from a heart of love, but won’t it be too late, come judgment day? Think about it, and for those of you who this message touches and you repent, God bless you! Amen.
