Psalm 22:22 ASV I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.
God’s Choir
God “inhabits the praises of Israel” (Ps. 22:3)—the gatherings of His people. The drama of worship is too grand a production to be produced by believers in lonely isolation from one another. So David worships on the hillsides, alone, but also says, “I will declare Your name to My brethren; in the midst of the congregation I will praise You.”
Just as the church choir is composed of multiple voices, so every one of the diverse gifts in the congregation is essential for worship. You may not be gifted as a soprano, alto, tenor or bass, but you are gifted—and your gift is needed in God’s choir!
